Boychiks of Broadway treads a Jewish journey along the path of the great composers of the Broadway stage. From the pianos and pens of Irving Berlin, Leonard Bernstein and George Gershwin, through to contemporary Broadway composers Stephen Schwartz, Jason Robert Brown and more - Jews have defined Broadway for more than a century. Join Alexis Fishman to explore the songs and stories of the legends of the stage.
Alexis is a Helpmann Award-nominated actor and singer, and graduate of WAAPA. Select Australian credits include Dusty, Shout!, Kiss of the Spiderwoman and Troupers for the STC. She is the creator of seven solo shows that have toured across Australia and the US including the award winning Club Gelbe Stern. Based in New York for many years, Alexis most recently starred as Anne Frank in Ron Elisha’s Anne Being Frank off-Broadway at the 28th St Theatre. She is a proud board member of 3GNY, an organization for Descendents of Holocaust survivors and holds a Masters in International Relations from Deakin University.
