Expect the beehive, the foul-mouth and all of Amy’s hits, including some you may never have heard before.
Amy Winehouse has been reimagined, revived and resurrected in this funny and poignant show that paints an unexpected picture of an incredible artist, gone too soon.
After news arrives that Tony Bennett has finally kicked the bucket, Amy Winehouse rushes to the pearly gates to greet her long-time idol, desperate to convince him to record with her again. She’s ripe for a come-back, even if it’s from the dead.
Following "Amy Winehouse: Resurrected” Alexis will shed the tattoos and the beehive to sing a few more of Amy’s songs and share some candid insights into the short life of a beautiful, loving and exceptionally talented artist.
Alexis is a Helpmann Award-nominated actor and singer, and graduate of WAAPA. Select Australian credits include Dusty, Shout!, Kiss of the Spiderwoman and Troupers for the STC. She is the creator of seven solo shows that have toured across Australia and the US including the award winning Club Gelbe Stern. Based in New York for many years, Alexis most recently starred as Anne Frank in Ron Elisha’s Anne Being Frank off-Broadway at the 28th St Theatre.
